El presente texto plantea una serie de reflexiones sobre la figura del pintor Lluís Dalmau, uno de los introductores de la pintura gótica flamenca en la Corona de Aragón. El análisis surge a partir de la presentación de un nuevo documento inédito sobre un retablo contratado en 1451 por Isabel de Requesens, esposa del gobernador de Cataluña, Galceran de Requesens, para la baronía de Molins de Rei (Barcelona). El documento sitúa al pintor realizando este encargo en Valencia, lo que supone un regreso hasta ahora desconocido a su ciudad natal tras haber realizado la tabla de la Mare de Déu dels Consellers, de Barcelona (1443-1445), y el retablo de san Baudilio, de Sant Boi de Llobregat (1448). …
Effect of retention interval on the simultaneous cognate-noncognate and remember-know mirror effects.

Recognition memory for Spanish-Catalan cognate and noncognate words was tested at retention intervals of 30 minutes, 3 days, and 7 days using a remember/know response procedure. We observed a clear mirror effect for the cognate-noncognate stimulus class and a remember-know response categorisation at the immediate retention interval. However, the cognate and noncognate mirror was still observed at 3 and 7 days, whereas the remember-know mirror disappeared at both retention intervals. Though surveys of risk assessment and management have been conducted, these efforts have been largely circumscribed to individual countries and have not compared the practices of members of different professional disciplines. This paper compares pupils progress along the first two years of middle schools fréquentation, whether these schools are in an E.P.A. or not, initial predictors of attainment being kept under control. In French and mathematics, pupils appear to have slightly weaker gains in E.P.A. than they should have elsewhere. The gap is greater for at risk pupils. E.P.A. seem to have a positive effect on pupils relation to schooling, but not on other attitudes or competenties regarding schoolwork or socialization. The E.P.A. policy effects do vary according to the schools.

This article examines some non biological factors which can determine the difference in athletic performances between girls and boys. A study was conducted, in a school setting, of teachers and pupils in « cours préparatoire » (seven years old). The studies look at the variations in student's performances on physical tests in relation to the type of physical Education provided at school. The results show that the best pupils at the beginning of the year progress more than the weakest (the difference increases). Socially desirable responding:enhancement and denial in 20 countries

This article investigated the dimensionality, measurement invariance, and cross-cultural variations of social desirability. A total of 3,471 university students from 20 countries completed an adapted version of the Marlowe–Crowne scale. A two-dimensional structure was revealed in the pooled sample, distinguishing enhancement (endorsement of positive self-description) and denial (rejection of negative self-description). The factor structure was supported in most countries; medium-sized item bias was found in two denial items. Aggression in television programs in Finland

A detailed coding system was constructed to study the frequency and salience of aggression in TV programs broadcast on Finnish television. Salience of aggression was measured by the brutality index which consisted of ratings concerning the 1) program context, 2) seriousness, 3) justification, and 4) dramatization of aggressive acts. When compared to previous studies of TV-violence, the rate of aggression in Finnish TV was moderate with 3.5 aggressive acts per program hour. Only 14% of aggressive acts portrayed brutal aggression, which was mostly seen in fictional films and serials.
